Vancouver art book fair

Last weekend, I went to the Vancouver art book fair which showcases and sells independently published books. The event was created by a local organization, Project Space. The event  had so many great books and illustrations to choose from. Of course I got some nice things from different artists.

Goodbye Summer! Hello Fall!.

I can't believe its fall.  I had such a great summer ending with a great trip to New York. New York is a great city with so much culture and inspiration. I felt so creative after that trip that I started some new personal projects. 

This fall is shaping out to be a busy one. I am starting some new freelance opportunities and I also started doing some work on the cartoon"My Little Pony."

A few days before my trip,  I designed a card for a client to say thank you to others for supporting him in his youth work. It was a lot of fun doing a card for a great cause. 

Adventure Time

Last month, I illustrated some "Adventure Time" fan art for a monthly sketch group that I joined awhile ago. I don't usually do a lot of fan art, but it was fun drawing these characters in my style.

Beach sketching

Last weekend was Canada day long weekend and I was lucky to get four days off. The weather was beautiful, so one day, I rode my bike to the nearest beach and just sketched for fun. I just wanted to use a black marker and not worry if the image is perfect. Mcbess is one of my favorite artists so my sketch was inspired by his style.

By the end, I got a cool image and a sunburn!
